Siswa Bazar – Maharajganj. A motorcyclist met a tragic end last night in Sabaya, Siswa, after being struck by a speeding, out-of-control tractor-trolley. The police have taken custody of the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.
According to reports, the tractor-trolley was traveling at high speed from Siswa towards Nichlaul when, near a speed breaker at the Sabaya T-junction, it collided with a motorcycle approaching from the direction of Nichlaul and subsequently overturned into a nearby ditch. Immediately after the tractor-trolley overturned, its driver fled the scene. The accident left the motorcycle completely wrecked, while the rider sustained severe injuries. Onlookers promptly transported the injured rider to the Siswa Community Health Centre (CHC) via a ‘108’ ambulance; however, the rider succumbed to his injuries while undergoing preliminary treatment. The incident occurred on Thursday night, at approximately 9:00 PM.
The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as 45-year-old Mohan Verma, son of Kalika Verma, a resident of Gopal Nagar, Siswa Bazar. He was returning home from the market in Bahuar when this tragic accident occurred just before he could reach his residence.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Kothibhar police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body for a post-mortem examination, and have initiated further legal proceedings.
